We have been lucky enough to be Cathy and Don’s neighbors for over 8 years. From the day we moved in next door with our then newborn son and our young daughter, Don made us feel welcome. He always had a kind word to say, and I loved our talks together. If we needed any help, he was the first to volunteer, including teaching us how to use jumper cables for the first time. He always told me how he loved seeing our kids outdoors and playing because it brought back memories of his own kids. He is greatly missed. Love, Christy and Tony

I’m sorry for your loss. Sgt Player was a great boss wonderful person and a mentor. I was a young detective while he was in homicide. He was patient and kind. He and my partner had many years OTJ. I learned so much from them.
I wish I had known sooner I would have paid my respects.

Our birthdays were a day apart, and when Donnie turned 18, we went to Cedarhurst for pizza. When the waiter took the drink order, Donnie stated it was his birthday and he’d have a beer. After showing his ID the waiter wished him a Happy Birthday and asked me what I wanted to drink? I said you won’t believe this, but my birthday is tomorrow! The waiter looked at me and stated that I would have to wait till 12:00! We did!
I’ll miss him, we didn’t see each other near enough, but we always had fun!
