While I did not get to meet young Peter in life, I did get the chance to talk to him for about six or seven minuted once when he was in the US on R & R....He reminded me of his Granddad Frank Capadona by then in Arizona.. We talked awhile and he said that one of his friends in service had been from Dallas and so he knew about Fort Worth. Young Peter was fun and we vowed to talk another time.....never got to. Peter Capadona and his Dad were honorable men....heroes in an age to heroic acts. We will make a donation to a US Service connected charity in Peter's name.. Words cannot begin to describe how deeply saddened we are over the loss of Peter. Peter was so much a part of our lives while growing up on Mobile Avenue. Pete:
I cant find the words to tell you how sorry I am about your loss. Peter will be fine, he is in God's hands. The rest of us have to pick up the pieces and go on. I'm glad he was out there with you and you got to share many times and memories. As you and your family know, my Mom and I lost my sister Debbie when she was 41. Because she was in New Jersey, we didn't see her all the time. To this day, Mom is rarely without and angel pin or something with butterflies or dolphins, which always reminded her of Debbie. I have a hard time listening to " Somewhere over the Rainbow". Keep close with your family and friends and remember all the good times. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Peter Capadona was my best and oldest friend.
He was like family, we kept in touch no matter where we were.
We spent a lot of time rollerblading and at the beach, going camping, fishing, joking around,
helping each other through some hard times, and sharing a lot of good ones.
I feel the deepest sorrow that you're gone brother, and for your family, I know you will dearly miss him.

When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit."
