He left us too soon, but may his soul shine and may he find peace in his final resting place.
When you can’t find the light that guides you through the cloudy day
and the stars ain’t shining bright make you feel like you lost your way.
When the candle that leads us home shines so very far away
you got to let your soul shine,
it’s better than sunshine,
better than moonshine,
damn sure better than rain.
Grew up thinking I had it made and could make it on my own.
Life can take the strongest man and make him feel all alone.
Sometimes when the cold wind blows I feel it in my aching bones
You gotta let your soul shine,
It’s better than sunshine,
better than moonshine,
damn sure better than rain,
You gotta let your soul shine
Shine to the break of day.
