On the afternoon of March 21, 2016 at 3pm Joan M. Stanton, 95, passed away peacefully in her home of 64 years surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Lynbrook, Joan was born on January 23, 1921 to George and Marguerite Fenning. She raised five children and worked for the Nassau County Police Communications Headquarters as a dispatcher. She was an active member of St. Raymond’s parish and the nocturnal adoration at St. Raymond’s. A devoted wife of 60 years to the late William E. Stanton, Joan is survived by her five children, William, Elizabeth , Judith, Kathleen, and Patricia; 10 grand children and 11 great grandchildren. She was loved by everyone who met her. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22nd, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Perry Funeral Home, 118 Union Ave, Lynbrook, NY 11563. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10:45 at St. Raymond’s RC Church, East RockawayStanton- Joan M. 95 of Lynbrook, NY on March 21, 2016. Beloved wife of the late William E. Stanton Jr. Loving mother of William E. Stanton III (Janet), Elizabeth Lorenz (Robert), Judith Henninger (Gary), Kathleen Stanton Jozkowski (Robert), and Patricia Rossi (Peter). Cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 10. Retired from NCPD 911 Communications. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:45 AM at St. Raymond’s RC Church in East Rockaway. Interment in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury.
