Cincotta, John J., born 1925 in Brooklyn, N.Y., loving husband, father and friend to so many, passed into God's hands at age 86 on August 20, 2012 after a full and blessed life. His wife Louise, and his six children and their spouses, Mary and Austin Reed, Joseph and Helene Cincotta, Janet and Christopher Sherry, Sandy and Robert Siragusa, Christine and Jack Simeone and John Cincotta continue his legacy. His love, patience and strong work ethic have been inspirational to his children as well as his eighteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. John and Louise were married in 1950, and celebrated 62 years of marriage this past June. John served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944-45. His formal education included a B.S. from St. John's University and a Master's degree from New York University. He was an extraordinary CPA with the utmost of integrity. John's love for learning was boundless; his sense of humor was contagious. He loved sharing his newfound information and jokes with family and friends. He was a dedicated professional and family man, who listened and treated everyone with respect, always showing genuine concern and interest. The wake for John Cincotta will be held Thursday, August 23, at Perry Funeral Home, 118 Union Ave., in Lynbrook, N.Y from 2-4 P.M. and 6-9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at their home parish, St. Raymond's Church in East Rockaway, N.Y on Friday, August 24 at 9:45 A.M. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
