Frank Passanisi III posted a condolence

Here's a little poem of remembrance,
About a man we all loved named Douglas LaChance.
Uncle Douglas….We'll never forget you!
He could have been Mayor, Governor, or even Senator, to name a few,
But instead he chose to spend his life at the N.M.D.U.
He never forgot a name or a face.
And he would always grab your attention when he walked into a place.
He spoke with such passion and eloquence,
He could make John Henry root for the Bombers from The Bronx.
I will always remember his hug and his handshake,
And there were all the good times we had on Garfield Place.
One thing is for sure, it will not be the same,
As we hit the Bronx next year for his annual Yankee opening game.
But now he is in God's hands with the rest of the family who have gone before him,
And as we all know, Uncle Doug will protect all of them.
He has so many stories to share with those loved ones,
And he will probably get Steinbrenner and The Babe to be among them.

You were larger than life, even before I met you. Our worlds cross paths 20 years ago, and it is those past 20 years that
my family and myself owe to you. In these past 3 years I am glad we were able to see eye to eye. Thanks for all you did.
You will be truly missed.

We were so sorry to hear the news, and so shocked. But just as Doug would have liked it, today has been all about him, sharing stories and some of his more famous quotes all day long! It makes us miss him terribly already....love and hugs from the Scarano Family.
