There are many words that come to mind when describing the beloved McCauley household. Words like loving, crazy, loud, hectic, spiritual, warm, inviting, joyful. Some of my fondest memories are sitting at the kitchen table (on the bench) with a cup of tea, nursing a scotch on the couch while eating Mr. McCauley's prized Ritz crackers and cheese, or sitting on the front porch watching the world go by. I like to think of their home as my 2nd growing up. I smoked my 1st cigarette on the triangle and worked my 1st job at the "carnival" in the backyard. Their neighborhood was so much cooler than mine! It's hard for me to imagine that Mary is gone...but what a legacy she has left to reckon with. Her incredible children and grandchildren are a living testament to the love she and Tom shared. No more pain - and how wonderful this spiritual Sodality backed dynamo of a lady is finally reunited with the love of her life. Amen. My deepest condolences to you all Mary Louise, my oldest and dearest Katherine Grace,
Tricia, Tommy, John, Maureen and all your children. I love you all...
