Anne, Harry, Barbara, we're all pretty much cut from the same cloth. They just had that way to make you feel very comfortable and very welcome. I always wanted to be just like uncle bill. That's exactly what I'm doing today.My memories of aunt Ann and Aunt Barbara are the perfect hostess and most polite people you'd ever meet. it was picture perfect back then. She will be dearly missed by all the children ( US )

We will miss Mrs. Thornton at holidays and all the upcoming special occasions in the Connor house. Always pleasant-always smiling. Everyone respected her dedication to her family. She was such a good, rational, and solid grandmother, mother, wife, friend and mentor. She is an example of a wonderful life well lived. She will be remembered for being the mother with the van always taking care of the children in the neighborhood and for being there for her family every step of the way. God bless Barbara Thornton!

I’m Billy’s childhood friend James.
Whenever we were playing in the neighborhood and I mean anywhere in the neighborhood, Mrs. Thornton could be heard over cars airplanes and the Mr softy truck when she was calling Billy back home For lunch or dinner. Always with the crust cut off… We used to giggle A lot whenever she was hollering for Billy .
We used to play kill the carrier and Billy’s backyard which I’m sure she was not too fond of, but that was pre-Internet so we had to make our own fun. One day, I recall Billy falling out of his treehouse, hitting the dirt and barely able to breathe because he got the wind knocked out of him.
Us Kids were just dumbfounded, but Mrs. Thorton burst out of the back door all 20 pounds of her and hoisted Billy into the house. We didn’t see him like for a week, Not that he was Hurt too bad, it was most likely because Mrs. Thornton didn’t want him playing with us too much… lol
