I’ve know Jim and Diane for many decades. They are two of the kindest and most generous people. Jim seems like a tough man but it’s just the opposite. He was a big teddy bear. He helped Diane with trying to gain respect and a fair contract for school aides in district 14 where his wife worked. He always tried to help the underdogs. The McCloats have always been there for their friends and I’m proud to be one of their friends. Jim leaves a big hole in the heart of those who knew and loved him. He can count on me to be there to support Diane. Rest in peace Jim❣️
One of my favorite memories of my father in law Jim is listening to his stories of mischief and mayhem he got into during his younger years. One of this stories includes driving a backhoe from Belmont Racetrack to the work yard. This adventure included taking out eighteen parked cars and chasing two little old ladies up their front lawn. That adventure landed him in some hot water… Jim loved joking that the McCloat family vehicle was a backhoe. I will miss his stories and his laugh but I know that he and Jimmy are sharing cupcakes with the angels now.
