Obituary of Ralph J. Venezia

Ralph Venezia was born on August 12, 1950 in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. He passed away on January 25, 2024, at 73 years of age. A dedicated family man, Ralph is survived by his loving wife Linda, sisters Mary, Patricia and Ann, his sons Anthony and Joseph, and his beautiful grandchildren Angelina, Rafael and Ethan, to whom he was known as ‘Papa.’ He studied business at SUNY Farmingdale and Hofstra University. However, Ralph’s true talents shined as an expert auto mechanic, and for years he operated his own business, McKinley Ave Garage, in East New York, Brooklyn. Later he worked as a mechanic for JetBlue, becoming a fixture on the tarmac at JFK airport for his repair abilities and tireless work ethic, frequently out shining other mechanics decades his junior. Sporting a great sense of humor, Ralph had a hearty laugh and an even heartier appetite, and loved spending time with family during the holidays. A man of faith, Ralph was a devout Catholic. Stubborn as an ox, but strong as one too, Ralph was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family. Generous, kind and good hearted, he will be missed, and forever loved.
