Obituary of Bernice Rose Kelly
Please share a memory of Bernice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bernice Rose Kelly passed away peacefully on January 24th, surrounded by her family and friends.
Bernice was born on February 13th, 1939 to the late Ann and Richard Browne and grew up in Brooklyn on “Bay 54th Street.”
She moved to Valley Stream with her beloved late husband John in 1973 and raised their only daughter Kim. Bernice began her career with Mohawk Airlines and then became a travel agent. Later she worked as a merchandiser, but always found time for her family, friends and, of course, all kinds of adventures.
Bernice leaves behind her daughter Kim (Edward), her grandson John Thomas (Caitlin), her granddaughter Kelly, and her great-granddaughter Mia Elizabeth. She was blessed to have many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who she adored. Her eyes would always light up when they came to visit.
She was always up for a party and reminded everyone that the party did not begin until she arrived. Bernice knew how to make each person feel special and loved, because she sincerely cared. She will be missed by all
