Obituary of Julia Biondo

Beloved Julia Biondo, daughter of Our Lord and Savior and child of the
Blessed Mother, passed away peacefully at her home in Valley Stream
N.Y. on Sunday October 29th at age 99.
Julia was born on August 15 th 1924 the Feast of the Assumption of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, in Hokendauqua, Pennsylvania. She was the second of
eight children born of Julia and Theodore Komarnicky.
Julia was a loving wife of World War II US Army veteran,
Vito Biondo. A devoted mother to her children Keith, Dena, Joseph,
Christopher and Anthony. A cherished mother-in-law to Carolyn, Ricky
and Danielle. A beloved grandmother to Lisa,
Chrystie, Cara, Lora, Arielle, Mathew, Joseph, Kyle, Kerri, Dominick and
Cole and a delighted great grandmother of Vita Grace, Colette, Luca,
Jackson, Harry, Ashton, Henry, William, Christian, Julia and baby Keath.
Julia suffered the loss of her third child Joseph who was only 18 at the time
of his death. With a broken heart she remained the constant loving rock and
showed her love daily through the serving of her beloved family. Julia was a
loving homemaker and was especially known for her patience and love of
her children and grandchildren. She would spend hours teaching them the
alphabet and how to count, singing nursery rhymes, Frère Jacques being a
favorite, doing puzzles, making and decorating cookies, playing
games, reading books, helping with homework and going to the beach. She
was also known for her pierogis, iced tea, excellent baking and cooking skills,
her entertaining and hosting and chic sense of style. Julia will be remembered as one who never spoke an ill word of anyone, for her loving service and strength of will.
Wake services will be held at Perry Funeral Home 118 Union Ave.,
Lynbrook, NY 11563 on Thursday, November 2nd from 11 AM to 3 PM and 5
PM to 9 PM. Funeral services will be officiated by Very Reverend Dom Daniel
Nash Can. Reg. on Friday, November 3rd at 11:15 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes
Roman Catholic Church 65 Wright Ave., Malverne New York. Julia’s Pallbearers will be her son Anthony, followed by her grandsons: Matthew; Joseph; Kyle; Dominick and Cole. Julia will be laid to rest at at Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, N.Y. 11735. Gathering of loved ones to follow.
