Ann was the loving wife of Donald S. Rainis (married 62 years) and the dear mother of Matt (Rosanne), Joe (Eileen), Pete (Lori), Margaret (John Remsen) and John (Deborah). The eldest of the nine children of Edward and Mary Farrell, she learned many of the responsibilities of adulthood at an early age. Her family was her focus and our busy home was a hive of activity, togetherness and love. She was the wonderful grandmother of sixteen, the great-grandmother of seven and an aunt to countless others. Ann and Don enjoyed their garden and spending summers on the North Fork. She showed us all how to raise a family with love and how to live our lives appreciating beauty and our time together.
