Leighton ( Jr.) Crosley, was born on September 05, 1965, in Spanish Town, Jamaica. The first born of Myrtle and Winston Crosley. His childhood was spent in Kingston with his siblings, Colin and Debby. Jr. made many friends along the way and graduated from St. George's High School. He developed a love for good food and good music.
Jr. migrated to the United States in 1986. In 1992, he had his only child, Leighsha. He continued to build community throughout his years. His infectious spirit made people gravitate to him.
Jr. was employed as an EMT with Hunter Ambulance for 10 years. At the same time, he worked as a Security Officer for St. Johns Hospital where he met and married the love of his life, Camille.
Jr. continually perused broadening his horizons by taking various educations throughout the years. He also became a real estate investor. Ultimately, he joined the Department of Sanitation and later promoted to a supervisor. He grew to love his hobbies of cooking, fishing, gardening, repairing, tinkering, and flea market scouting.
Jr. was a devoted husband and enjoyed traveling with his wife Camille. He took pride in being dapper and putting his best foot forward at all times. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jr. became a member of Mount Zion Worldwide Ministries Church, and initiated the Maintenance Ministry. In his final years, Jr. grew even closer to God. He found his faith and submitted his life to Jesus Christ.
After a sudden illness, Jr. passed away Sunday, August 6th, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Camille, his mother, Myrtle, and daughter, Leighsha. Additionally, he leaves siblings, Colin and Debby, nieces Ernesta and Alexis, bonus daughter Monique, grandchildren Aniyah, Arielle, and Angelica, sister-in-laws Janice and Josephine, brother-in-laws Victor, Patrick, John, and Jimmy, several godchildren and a host of family, close friends and an entire community that love him.
