It was very rare that you would ever see Danny without a smile on his face, Knowing him for almost 30 years He was the kind of man that would show up in 5 minutes If you needed him Even if you hadn't seen him in 3 months, On the rare occurrence that he would need me to do something for him I was more than happy To repay the favor. He will truly be missed he was definitely one of a kind.

Q: How did you meet Daniel?
A: I know Danny ever since he was a little boy..We lived next store to each other. I was Vanessa’s god mother as well.Danny was so gorgeous as a child..He had a beautiful smile and piercing blue eyes that would lite up a room. I remember one day I smelled smoke and the mattress was on fire.. It was hard to figure out who was playing with matches but truth be revealed it was Danny. It amazes me how the lord used that learning experience when he was a child for a purpose..Danny became a fire man and saved the lives of others.I used to have many talks about past memories with me ,his sisters ,and his mom and it would bless my heart.He loved his family,wife, and children with all his heart and was the best dad!!!..No wonder why everyone loved Danny, he would give you the shirt off his back. Danny was hysterical and I loved to be around him.I never laughed so hard!!Things can never be the same without him..I love and miss you Danny

Danny you were the person I knew the longest in this world when God called you home. You were my big brother. You purchased for me my very first car, a white Monte Carlo because mommy couldn't afford to. That speaks volumes to your character and heart; what 21 year old spends their own hard earned money just so their 17 year old sister could drive back and forth to school instead of walking? You were that brother. Too many memories to even try to summarize. I chose these two pictures because they encompass how special we were to one another. Our dance to "What a Wonderful World" from my and Larry's wedding in 2005 and our dance to "Always There" from you and Val's wedding in 2017. You were "always there" and I am so grateful you chose that song by Canadian Tenors for us to dance to. There will forever be a void in our family and we will miss you terribly. Time can't take away all the memories we have, however; we will never laugh as hard again as when we did when with you! Danny you were so loved by us.

Danny had the biggest heart and helped everyone in need. My kids met him when he was helping me at a fundraiser my kids organized after my accident and in that 3 hour time he impacted them. They prayed for him and asked about him every day. My dad had known Danny since he was a little boy and loved Danny The world is a little darker without him but he will keep a light in everyone’s life. Be like Danny live like him with a smile and bringing love and happiness to everyone you meet

I know Danny since he was a little..He lived next store to us and I used to baby sit him and his sisters.I was very close friends with his mom and she made me Vanessa’s God mother.He was such a beautiful little boy with his beautiful blue eyes that could light up a room and his gorgeous smile. I remember one time I was baby sitting and I smelled smoke and the mattress was on fire!!.It was hard to figure out who did it?..But truth be revealed it was Danny..Sometimes God uses those childhood moments to use it for as learning lesson and a future purpose.For example,Like being a fire man and saving the lives of others.!!Amazing!!!And I remember him jumping into a pool to save someone life and he was able to bring him back with his fast responses.He was the best father and husband in the world and loved them so dearly.He spent much time talking to me about those he loved.He had such a big heart and would take the shirt off his back for someone down on his luck and make them laugh and lift their spirits up.He loved spending time with his sisters and their children around the holidays.I’ve got to see many pictures that bring a smile to my face.One picture I was looking at recently was him Vanessa and the boys in the bus that he drives.Well news gets around fast and I hear all the kids on the bus loved him as he had been there rooting them on with love and support.The wedding pictures,the trips with Val and his kids bless my heart and I was happy to see everyone having a great time.The outpouring of love from all his friend,family,fire department ,and his beloved biker group only proves what a blessing he was to us all.I remember him making me laugh so hard that I could literally piss my pants!!He was hysterical! and I loved talking to him about all the good times from the past because we have a long history together.He will never be replaced their is no one in the world like him.I have a special space in my heart for him that is now broken and I’m hurting for his family.He had such a special bond with his mother that was unbreakable!!!..He loved her with all of his heart..and now that he is in Gods loving arms he will see her again in Heaven.I love you and miss you Danny❤️

I worked with Danny many years ago at The Woodmere Club. Such a kind hearted soul who was always happy, which made me smile. I moved to upstate NY almost 20 years ago, but saw his adventures on Facebook. He was always enjoying life. I was especially happy to see that he met and married a lady that completed his world. They were both blessed to have found pure love. It certainly showed. Cherish the happy memories. God bless.

I don’t even know where to begin. You were there from the beginning of my life. Mommy went into labor cutting your 5th birthday cake. But she made sure to finish your cake with you before your life changed and you had yet another little sister. I may not have known it at the time but I was probably trying to crash the party. You know something you would do. I wanted to be your birthday present growing up. I wanted to share the same birthday. And tell everyone, I was the best gift he ever got. But unfortunately I was 46 minutes too late. And I missed the party. You got to keep your own birthday. Which you deserved. Your special day. You have always been there for me, to protect me, to talk too, play video games with. You got me my first job at the Woodmere Country Club. All the fun we had. All the memories. Playing football/tag football, bicycle tag, hockey in the black circle across the street from the house (never understood that because it was a square lol). The neighborhood call you created for all the kids to come out of their houses. Anyone of our old neighboring children can hear it now. The time you hit the golf ball through the window at the house over the train tracks and we all ran inside. PopPop always taking us out to eat or us making fun of some weird concoction he cooked. You always washing your cars, I thought the paint was going to fall off. I was so grateful when you gave me the red convertible Chrysler Lebaron. I loved that car. I would take Brianna everywhere with me. My little sidekick. By the way she drove the Lebaron. She also drove Lenny the Altima. Oh Lenny the “family” car I bought. Between Mommy, you, and I, Lenny had seen a lot and been to a lot of places.
For 14 years you started a tradition with Christian.Than for the past 9 years with Mason, of making sure they get the new HESS Trucks that come out for Christmas every year. The look forward to that so much. Christian would say “I know what Uncle Danny got me for Christmas” with a smile on his face
I have so many memories of Danny, 43 years of them how do I pick which to write.
So many backyard BBQ’s. Birthday cakes, food fights, snowball fights, “race you Down the blocks”, “Vanessa, I’ll give you a $1.00 if you go to the Dairy Barn for me” (I made a lot of money that way). Going to the drive-in movie theatre as a family and seeing all the chucky movies.
You knowing I was terrified of Freddy Kruger and when I went to go to bed you were behind my door and you made the sound of his nails and I freak out so hard when I ran out of the room I slammed the door into you.
I guess I’ll admit it now, I thought you were really cool growing up, even though I always told you that you weren’t. You were always a well liked person, can make friends anywhere you go. And nothing has changed. You are still the most likable and lovable person I know. You are still the coolest guy around. I mean your the MAYOR OF CEDARHURST how can you not be awesome.

He wasn’t just my brother, he was my children’s Uncle and Christian’s Godfather (He actually teared up when we asked him to be the godfather)
But……
Growing up with a big brother is a privilege many people don’t have. They don’t know what it is to have someone to always protect you like a Father without having to tell a grown-up. You were always there every time I had a problem big or small. From childhood to adulthood. You have always protected me and wouldn’t let anyone hurt me. Disrespect me, or be out of line with me.
You were always just a phone call away. Or Val was because he would text me “call Val” and I would. He would be laughing in the background because it was a joke. Val didn’t need me to call her, he just wanted to be funny. He was such a prankster. Always playing jokes and making people laugh. He had a way with making people laugh. He had such a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. You could be having the worse day ever, 10 minutes with Danny and your whole day went from bad to amazing. He will have you laughing and talking about things. Some that make sense some that don’t. That is what is so great about Danny. You can talk to him about anything.
Him and my boys have a wrestling move they do. A couple actually. But “neck move” and “deliveries” were his favorites. My boys would try to take him down all the time. If I could attach a video I would, you would laugh so hard.
Not sure anyone remembers Danny in his younger years through his teen years with the rolled up paper into a point. His “feeling” he called it. Sometimes he would make it so pointed and poke you with it. He always had one with him or was making one.
We have been through a lot together. Lots of good times and not so good times but at the end of the day. You, Dawn, and I made it through together. Weather we were laughing or crying. We always had each other. Thank you for being my brother. I love you and I am going to miss you so much. Thank you for looking at me one last time when I spoke to you. I will treasure that for always. I may have missed your last smile, but I know you will forever be smiling down on us

A: Danny was one of the happiest guys you could ever meet! He would light up a room with his huge infectious smile and make you laugh until your stomach hurt. He had such a positive outlook on life, and was one of the most selfless people I’ve ever met. He fit into our crazy family from day one and we welcomed him with open arms! How could you not? There’s so much I can say about you Uncle Danny.
I feel like you were part of our family for much longer than you actually were, and I know my sisters and cousins would agree with me when I say you were an absolutely amazing uncle and human being in general. I’ll never forget you ditching the adults to come hang with us kids at family parties and putting a smile on all of our faces, making us laugh until our stomachs hurt, with the most ridiculous stories you’d tell. You were the biggest beacon of light in so many people’s lives, and you never failed to make everyone around you happy. You were truly one of the most selfless people I have ever met, and I appreciate everything you’ve done for me and my family over the years. I can still hear your voice in my head saying “SUP GIRLLLL” when you’d first see me somewhere, and the long drawn out “nooooosessss” that you named every single animal you came into contact with.
I still can’t believe this is real and I wish we had more time together to make more memories. I’ll love and miss you forever, but I know you’re probably up there with my dad (and every one else up there watching over us) throwing back some cold ones.

When I think of Danny, I think of his infectious laugh and wonderful smile. I’m pretty sure that everyone that was in Danny’s presence always left in a better mood after being around him.
My heart aches for this whole family and all of Danny’s friends. Sending lots of love and prayers to Val and Vanessa and their families. You have been in my thoughts nonstop since last Sunday. Sending love to my own brother Larry, who lost a brother this week and to my amazing nephew and niece, Lawrence and Emily, who lost a very special Uncle. we love you both so much.

Danny, I’ve known you since I was a child. You have always had the most contagious energy and smile. Although we have moved away and no longer got to see you daily, I will always remember the genuine talks we had. The last time I saw you was when Bobby passed and even in all the pain you suffered during that time, you still made it a fun time for our family. Thank you for all that you’ve done for us, and for being the person you were. There truly aren’t many people like you. Althouse street will miss you so much. We love you Danny. Rest In Peace my friend ❤️

Q: What will you never forget about Daniel?
A: As children Danny and his sisters Dawn & Vanessa and my children spent holidays and Christmas Eve and backyard BBQ and many other days growing up together through a joined family. This continued to adulthood also.. We commented on each others FB and shared pictures of our growing families. His spirit was always high and family of all types( Bike riders & firefighters) was always important. Danny soar with the many angels above who will be there to greet you. Rest & Ride easy. Sending a pic in my house with my daughter Jaime and Jenn and you. You were free spirits then..

The day I met you I knew there was something bought you and it started a friendship! Danny, we are missing you hard and are all so devastated and sad at your loss. We all loved you and we know you loved us just as much. You were such a blessing to our family and you fit right in with your whacky, crazy, fun self. Thank you for being an amazing brother-in-law and Uncle. We’re so happy that we have so many fun stories and memories to remember you by.
We will never understand why you were taken so soon. Please watch over us and know that we will take care of Val. Heaven gained a great one with you.

A vacation of riding in TN a few years ago became even more memorable when Danny joined us on a whim & from then on, we were blessed in friendship! We got to know his sincerity, hysterical humor, generosity & larger than life personality! Danny was unlike anyone you could ever hope to meet as there was a warmth about him that made you love being in his presence! To know Danny was to know how much he loved life, his wife Val & his family, calling all dogs he met “Noses” lol & to feel the wind on 2 wheels! We are so thankful for the memories made & will miss him dearly! May he ride in paradise amongst the other angels while watching over all those who love him! Gone way too soon, so many lives touched by his giant soul & may he live on forever in our hearts!
