Obituary of Andrew Anthony Palmese

Andrew Anthony Palmese, age 67, of Franklin Square, New York, passed away on February 9, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be held at Perry Funeral Home in Lynbrook, New York on Monday, February 13, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena, Franklin Square, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Burial will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery. Andy Palmese was born in Far Rockaway, New York to Anthony and Edith Palmese on May 28, 1955. He grew up in Woodmere and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1973. After graduation he went into the family construction business and worked with his father for many years, and later with his son Andrew when he entered the family business. Andy loved family, work, and the New York Yankees. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and New York Jets and enjoyed attending games with his family. He loved his cats and they loved him. He was a loving father and doting grandfather and loved to get together with family for holidays and special occasions. He was a hard worker, a good listener, and a genuinely nice guy. Andy is survived by his wife, Irene Bagley; children Andrew M. Palmese (CariAnn), Christopher Palmese (Sandra), Josiah Bagley, Hope Bagley and Susanna DeCrescenzo (Michael); grandchildren Vincent Palmese, Victoria Palmese, Grace Palmese, Adriana DeCrescenzo and Christian DeCrescenzo; sisters Deborah Jacobs (Allan) and Karen Iovane; and nieces Jodi Ricardo (Robert) and Danielle Jacobs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Edith Palmese. Donations may be made in Andrew’s memory to the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.
