Obituary of Irene Christine Wilson

Irene Christine Lupyak Kobishyn Wilson died March 21 2021 at the age of 95. One of four daughters of Mary and John Lupyak, Irene enjoyed many happy family events with her siblings growing up in Woodmere and later Hampton Bays. Irene was a resident of NYC with her husband Ted Kobishyn where they married in 1948, started their family then moved to Lynbrook. NY, where she resided for over 50 years. Irene cared for many foster children over the years in her home. Her artistic nature was expressed in her home business "Irene's Ceramics" where she and her husband taught ceramic classes to adults and children. Many birthday parties were celebrated in their basement studio. Irene and her family spent many happy days in Hampton Bays where they had a summer home. Irene was predeceased by her husband Theodore Kobishyn ,her parents and siblings Anna Penner, Susan Peck and Ethel Szala. She will be laid to rest in a private service in Good Ground Cemetery, Hampton Bays along with her daughter Patricia A Kobishyn who predeceased her by three weeks. She is survived by her son, Theodore H. Kobishyn, daughter in law Kathleen (Crotty) Kobishyn, grandaughter Alexandra Kobishyn Rizzi and two great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and their children.
