Elizabeth Ann Guilfoyle May 26, 1961-September 14, 2022 Age 61 Elizabeth Ann, also known as Liz, was a loving, devoted mother to her son, Michael. She always did her best to support him in all his needs and wants. Nothing was more important to Elizabeth than being a mother to Michael. Elizabeth was the 5th of six children. Elizabeth had a quirky sense of humor and a robust laugh. She enjoyed being with people and socializing. She loved spending holidays with the family. Elizabeth was determined to live independently and persevered relentlessly when she set her mind to something. She had the resilience to get support for areas she needed help with in her life. Elizabeth faced many challenges, but through her resolve and grit she maintained her home and job and raised her son. Elizabeth worked at Nassau University Medical Center and was proud of the work she did there. She loved speaking with staff and doctors there. Elizabeth made her life long friend, Mabel while working at NUMC. After her retirement, if Elizabeth was at the hospital, so many people stopped to say hello to her and have a chat. Elizabeth loved that she was so well remembered there. Elizabeth had a strong faith and she relied on this faith when things became difficult for her. Elizabeth could be admired for her steadfastness and ability to advocate for herself. May she finally find the peace she so deserves.
