Obituary of GERMAN SILVA

Please share a memory of GERMAN to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

German Silva was born in Colombia. He gave his spirit to the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2020.

He and his family left Colombia in 1979 to start a new life in New York.

He was especially well known for his beautiful, smile and generosity. He was a respectful and dependable loving husband,

amazing father to his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter and loyal friend. He worked very hard to ensure that

his wife and children were happy, lived a full life, were well provided for and had the opportunity for a great education;

which all of his children and grandchildren have achieved.

All his life German was also known for being a man of respect, hard work, sincere and loyalty. He was patient and always

exceptionally giving of his time. He never hesitated to help friends and relatives with household projects or with their cars.

Those who knew him knew that he was a man that could be depended on. He would help any way he could.

In addition to his ever present smile, German had a great sense of humor. He loved sports especially soccer and baseball

where he was a dedicated fan of his favorite teams, Santa Fe and the Mets. One of his favorite daily hobbies was playing chess

with a companion or on his tablet. Also one of his daily and favorite routines was to talk to his great granddaughter early in the

morning, several times during the day and ended his day by blessing and giving her a virtual kiss.

German will be missed tremendously by all of his family and friends. The family now has a new angel to lovingly watch over

them. He leaves to cherish his memory and life, his loving Wife, Maria, Sons, German E. Jr., Wilson, Daughters Marisol,

Patricia and Alison, Grandchildren, Tatiana, Bryan, Nicolas, Lyzette, Brandon, Justin, Hailey and Gabriel, Great-Grandchild

Skylar Sol; Son-in-Law Ruben and Daughter-in-Law Duly and Zandra and hosts of family and friends.

The Silva family wishes to express their deepest appreciation and sincere gratitude for all acts and words of kindness shown

them during their time of sorrow.
