Obituary of JOSEPH F. QUINN

Quinn, Joseph F. of Valley Stream on December 26, 2020.  He was born in Brooklyn to Helen and James Quinn.  Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Ann (Parrilli); his loving children, Vincent (Jenny), and Joseph (Michele); his cherished grandchildren, Tanner, Preston, Summer, Emmerson, Kieran and Greyson; his sister-in-law, Camille Hlinko; and his devoted nieces and nephews. Joe retired as School Superintendent of District 24 in Queens and as an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, Fordham University.  He served many years on the School Board of District 13 in Valley Stream. Joe was honored at his retirement ceremony with the following, "100 years from now it will not matter what his bank account was, the type of house he lived in or the car he drove, but the world will be different because Joseph F. Quinn was important in the life of a child." Joe was living proof that "a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 9:30AM at Holy Name of Mary Church, which is located at 90 South Grove Street, Valley Stream.
