I moved into the house across the street back in 1980, I was 4 years old. I was a happy little camper to find a friend so quickly and we literally played everyday from that day on.
We've been through elementary, junior & high school together. I introduced her to her husband Alfred & she was there when I met mine. We were around for the births of our children, watching them grow & then sending them to the same schools we went to when we were younger.
Our friendship endured through out the years. We've had our ups and downs like all friendships, but Lori was always a kind, warm hearted & generous person. If she had it to give, you would also have it too. That was just the way she was.
We would laugh & reminisce about the fun & silly stuff we did as kids, like.......
There was one time we snuck out of the house to a house party on Homan Blvd. We were having a great time & we couldn't have been there no more than a half-hour & in walks Mr. Frasier, scanning the room of dancing teenagers. Oh my God our faces dropped when he locked eyes on us. My 1st reaction was to sprint to the back door but needles to say we were on punishment after that. Lol. Back then if she got in trouble I was in trouble too. If it wasnt me & Lori or it was Lori & Nakia or all 3 of us, we always stayed doing something together. We grew up around a lot of love and the saying that it takes a village is so true.
Lori was loved & will desperately be missed. My love & condolences go out to the Frasier & Cherry Family with all my heart.
