Jeanette Calogero “Aunt Jean” 5/10/1935- 10/13/2020
The daughter of Elia and Grace Calogero and sister of Anthony Calogero
She was born in the Bronx, and grew up in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn
Attended PS99 and graduated from Madison High School in 1953
A good student who would later become a voracious reader
Through her early career she worked for Prentice Hall in educational publishing and later as a book keeper for a clothing manufacturer.
In 2000 she moved to Lynbrook NY where she lived with her loving family and devoted caregivers Anthony, her brother and Mary Ellen, her sister in law. The proud and loving Aunt of her loving niece and nephew Kim and Anthony. The Great Aunt to Nicholas and Victoria, her inspiration in later life
A godmother to many cousins. She was affectionately known by all as “Aunt Jean”
A generous supporter of any charity that called --- her favorites St, Jude Children’s Hospital and Make a Wish Foundation
Deeply religious with a kind and loving heart
She always enjoyed a friendly debate
Aunt Jean will be deeply missed by those who were touched by her warm and loving heart but she will never be forgotten
