I only just learned of Mr. Hourican passing today. I was a student at Lynbrook High, graduating class of 1973. I found Mr. Hourican to be one of the best teachers I have ever had. He had a special gift to teach. My memory of him was that he was a large, soft spoken, patient man. I researched Mr. Hourican status after all these years after setting up an online account in which I used Mr Hourican name in a security question, “Who was your favorite teacher”. He will be missed by all that knew him.

God feels for us when we experience losing those we love in death. God has promised in 1 Peter 5:7 "Pour out your hearts to God because he cares unless you." His promise is to sustain us during our bereavement. My deep sympathy to the Hourican Family.
