Obituary of Gene Henry Torborg
TORBORG- Gene H, 63 of East Rockaway NY passed away on December 6th, 2018. He leaves behind his wife Susan, his children Gene, Scott, Gregg and Suzanne, his grand-children Tara, Kaylee, Kyle, Connor, Declan & Arthur, his brother Douglas, and his sisters Terry and Janis.
Gene was a proud member and Ex-Chief of the East Rockaway Fire Department where he served his community for 45 years. During that time he had the privilege to serve with many members of his family which included all 4 of his children.
He joined the family’s East Rockaway Auto Repair business just out of High School, and operated that business until his retirement in 2014. During his career there he was blessed to be able to work side by side with his father Eugene, brother Douglas, oldest son Gene, and many other family and friends. During those years many happy memories were made.
