BROWN-Mary E., "Bette" (Lewis) passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2018. She was a devoted Mom to Patrick, Liz, Jay, and Deb, and a loving Grandmother to Ryan, David, Lyndsay, Brandt and Isa Moon. "Momma B" is also survived by three great-grandchildren: John Luke, Caroline, and Nora Grace. Bette was predeceased by a sister, Jane, and brother, Bill. Bette was born on June 28, 1929, and was a lifelong resident of Long Island, New York. She served for 28 years as a Crossing Guard for Nassau County Police Department 4th Precinct before retiring in 2007. She loved watching her kids play sports, big band music, Elvis Presley, stuffed animals, and caring for her pets. The Family will receive friends Friday 2 -4 & 7-9 PM at the Perry Funeral Home Inc. 118 Union Ave Lynbrook. Religious service Saturday 9:45 AM at the funeral home. Interment in Greenfield Cemetery Hempstead.
