Anyone who ever met John, even if just briefly knew how much he loved his beloved late wife, his family and life. He especially loved sharing life with all of them. Emma and I are blessed to have been included in that circle.
He also loved the Lord Jesus Christ. John is the most righteous man I've ever met and will probably ever meet in my lifetime and I honestly believe that the light of Jesus shined bright through John and that's why every one could see so clearly why he was the man he was. He was kind and generous and would do anything for anyone.
Through the years I've lived above him, John became far more than my landlord. He was my dear friend, a confidant, a shoulder to cry on and so much more. We exchanged story upon story, many laughs and glasses of wine. His friendship will be deeply missed. Just knowing John, has taught me so much in such a short time, my life has been forever changed. "Grandpa" as Emma has come to call him, had her own very very special relationship with him from music, to computers to joking around or even just walking and talking. He understood Emma in a way so many don't and he always had time for her.
I know in my heart that John has been welcomed in the arms of our heavenly father, and I know he got to hear to hear the Lord say "Well done my son, well done". I know he is at peace resting in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
