Frank J. Tullo on January 4, 2015, of Inwood, NY. Age 76. Beloved husband of Marion (nee DiSabato). Devoted father of Frank, Denise Leaf (Jeffrey), Phyllis Gernhardt (Scott) and Vincent. Dear grandfather of 7 grandchildren; Ryan, Morgan, Frankie, Nicole, Scott, Matthew and Joey. Frank his survived by his brother James, and sisters, Maryann Asprea and Donna Hrabchak. Frank was a warm, kind-hearted, strong-spirited man who possessed a love for so many things during his time spent here on earth. Although the list could go on and on, impossible to document each and every one or thing, first and foremost was his family. Frank enjoyed traveling with his family as well as spending many days watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting activities. In his younger years he was an active member of the Inwood Buccaneers where he held office for many years as well as coached many teams. Frank was also a member of the VFW Post 1582. More recently Frank was on the Board of Directors at Silver Point Beach Club in Atlantic Beach. Frank spent his summers with his friends and family at Silver Point Beach Club. Sitting in his chair and looking forward to playing cards were some of the best days of his life. Frank was a native of Far Rockaway where he grew up and joined the United States Navy. Frank was a signalman. Frank took pride in being an American Veteran. Frank eventually met the love of his life, Marion. After their marriage in 1961 they lived in Inwood for the next 44 years. Frank worked at John F. Kennedy Airport for KLM Airlines as a Cargo Supervisor for 33 years. After his retirement Frank was able to indulge more deeply into his family and the things he loved to do most. Frank was an avid New York Giant and New York Yankee fan. He would would often refer to them as 'his Giants' or 'my Yankees'. Frank was able to recently experience his first born grandson, Ryan, graduate from West Virginia University which is where Frank's daughter (Denise) and son-in-law (Jeffrey) graduated from. Frank was equal parts husband, father, grandfather and friend. He gave so much to this world, and has touched so many people. Although he will be missed greatly, his legacy will continue to live on and he will never be forgotten.
